Get More Customers over the Next 10 Months

I've had many conversations with clients, prospects and colleagues over the past month. They are mostly about the recession and how the economy is going down the toilet. I'm being constantly asked about solutions to the problem of the recession. My answer is always to market more and get more customers.

The fact is there is a recession but the recession is not your biggest challenge. The business world has changed and to grow with that change, you need to evolve and innovate. Charles Darwin believed that it was survival of the fittest that helped us grow and develop into homo sapiens. That same growth and development should be applied to your business.

So let's forget about the state of the economy for a moment and answer these questions with honesty. You can mail me your answers if you would like but my only goal is to get you to be honest with yourself.

Ask Yourself:

1. How many ways or methods do you use to market your business, product or service?

2. Do you have a follow-up process that you follow religiously after every meeting, proposal sent etc?

3. How much time do you spend with your current customers?

For this month's edition, I'd like to help you with question 1. The others will be answered over the next couple of months either on the ezine, over on the blog or on the free resources page. Of course, feel free to contact me before then if you would like to talk some more about No. 2 and No. 3.

Let's get started. If you have less than five ways to promote your business, product or service, then it's time to get excited.

I want you to increase, double or treble the way you promote your business.

Key Questions

Before I list a few ways for your consideration, there are still some questions or actions to do:

1.Write down the ways you use today.

2.How many customers are you getting?

3.How many leads are you getting?

4.How much does it cost you?

5.Is it working for you?

Some of my clients tell me that they don't know of the many ways in which to promote their business. However, you are only limited by your imagination. Here are a few ways to help you brainstorm. Have a look through the following list and tick off what you would like to do.
